How does laptop checkout work?

The kiosk in the library allows individuals to check out laptops, free of charge. You will need a current Barry ID to swipe through the machine as well as your password. Laptops come already configured to the Barry wireless network and are able to print to any printer in the library. The laptops can be taken out of the library and will work anywhere on Barry that the wireless network extends.
The laptop checkout period is 24 hours, after which the patron is fined $10 an hour in late fees, up to $240. Should the laptop be 48 hours late, the student will be billed the cost of replacing the laptop and associated equipment.
