Can I find textbooks in the library?

Answer

Maybe. The library's budget does not include the purchase of textbooks. The same is true of most other academic libraries. Nor can textbooks be requested by InterLibrary Loan. But occasionally, some are donated by professors. Check the Barry catalog. If we don't own it, search World Cat catalog to learn whether another library nearby might have the book. If so, your SEFLIN Card can be used to check out books from other southeast Florida member libraries.

Sometimes, professors will place textbooks for their classes on reserve in the library. You won't be able to check these textbooks out but you can make photocopies and read them in the library for two hour intervals.
